Is INDIA Independent????

Starting with the warm wishes of new year to every one. Its has been quite long time for me to writing some thing. The reason i atribute to is my job and the project into which i am, and even to my laziness which i cover up with
throwing up the reason to my job and all. Till yesterday i was not even looking at the news paper so i was almost completely out of world and made my room and the job as my world, when the project is at last declared as done, i was looking a news daily and was shocked to see the incident that took place in mumbai. yeah, i am talking about the two girls being molested by a mob of eighty "guys" or should i call eighty mad persons who are just allowed to be on the road.

That incident was like moving me off from saying India being independent.As an independent country citizens we are free to walk or do what ever we like unless those acts are not in accordance with the constitution of India.
The height of the laziness or the inattention to the incident is the police being said that they haven't got any complaint and hence cannot do anything.
i don't know about the police stuff and all, but is it necessary to some one go and complaint and only then the police will take action,
does that mean that if any thing is happening in front of a police man he will be doing nothing unless some one gives him a complaint??
if this is the system ..then i think there should be some changes to be made to feel that we are in Independent country.

Having all this in mind from yesterday morning i was in office again as there was no work as such, i was just moving around. it happened to me then,
I heard a conversion among two guys of course they are my office mates(am i correct can i call them office mates or should i be terming them as colleagues??)
one was saying to other about the incident and was supporting the mob and was saying that the wrong was on girls side as they took on for a walk at that point of time. I was just taken aback by hearing that how can any one say that
its 31st ni8 and many a people will be on the roads, and even if it was not the 31st ni8 even then we have a right to go on and have a stral(i mean walking, i just over heard this word dont know its correct to use or not) on the road at any point of time, Dont we deserve atleast that??? if not then whats the point of having freedom?? when u cant even take a stral when u like to.

Having all this i am getting confused weather i am in an Independent country??, the country which some gr8 leaders want to have,are we as a country atleast in the sight of what they thought, the country which was supposed to be free, in which there is no gap between rich and poor, where a woman can be as free as the other sex, where there is no act of hate red, where a person will be treated as a human irrespective of any caste creed or so called status or by seeing his pocket, a country where we don't even hear the word "Bribe", are we satisfying at least half of what the martyrs thought when they gave up their life smiling for us?? when i put on the question to myself i feel very depressed and i just bow down my head,as i cant say no and make them feel bad. Just put the question onto yourself and try to answer the only reason i ask u to put on is that we are the people of this country and we can make a difference in this, if we think we can.

if u find this boring or any such sort of, i am not sorry for it as i just have said my point of view.
if u find any mistakes in my language, i am sorry, i tried to bring out my best language, but cant help it out, i am poor at my English i agree with it.
